Since the year 2000, IRTS has annually named a Fellowship
in memory of Dr. Barry Sherman. Barry was a professor
at the University of Georgia, as well as the director
of the George Foster Peabody Awards. While so many people
applauded his work on the Peabody's, his contributions
in the classroom, and the books he authored, those who
knew him would say he excelled first and foremost as
a human being who was always willing to provide friendship,
help and inspiration. Barry dedicated many long hours
of service to the annual IRTS Foundation Faculty/Industry
Seminar, where professors have five days of meetings
with industry leaders and participate in the annual
Case Study Competition.
