The Board of Directors of the International Radio and
Television Society Foundation and its contributing members
proudly give tribute to Stephen Nenno as an inspirational
figure in the development of the Summer Fellowship Program.
This award is bestowed annually in recognition of the
student, from the Summer Fellowship Program, who exemplifies
the outstanding qualities of selfless service, integrity,
loyalty, and inspirational leadership, which were the
hallmarks of the personal and professional life of Steve
Nenno.
In his thirty-three years of service to his employers,
ABC and Disney, Steve elevated the standards of those
around him by setting goals only satisfied by an unquenchable
passion for excellence in the workplace. He supplemented
his professional accomplishments by volunteering countless
hours over the years to motivated students seeking careers
in the broadcasting industry. In over twenty years of
faithful service to the Summer Fellowship Program, Steve
set a standard of participation for all members of the
Foundation to emulate. With this recognition, the honoree
acquires a special obligation to inspire others to bring
a legacy of excellence to the industry that Steve served
so faithfully. The Fellow recognized by this award will
remember that a life of service complemented by professional
accomplishment will best define success in the broadcasting
industry.
