EVENT OVERVIEW for the 2009 IMPACT SUMMIT – Disney Channels Worldwide
This year's program will emphasize Creative Development, Marketing, Branding and Distribution for Disney Channels Worldwide. Crossing cultural and geographic barriers, Disney Channels Worldwide taps into the world of kids and families through imagination and optimism. Go behind the scenes with prominent voices from inside the company, discussing new paradigms for program creation. Look at how Disney Channel finds and develops the next generation of Disney on screen talent. Experts in business development will share the successes, challenges and opportunities they face today and how their roles are evolving in the digital age. What are the opportunities for monetizing and distributing content on multi-platforms, and how is global integration addressed?
The event will also look behind the scenes of the creation of key franchise properties “Hannah Montana” and The “High School Musical” series. Apply today for this unique inside look at the business behind Disney Channels Worldwide, offering first-hand insight on how students can best prepare for a successful career in our industry.
CONFEREE SELECTION
Educators are competitively selected. IRTS wants to invest in those who are most passionate about teaching the next generation of professionals, as well as those who can best apply their knowledge to curriculum or the academic community at large.
This year, we are looking for faculty who teach courses that would directly benefit from our subject matter such as business strategy, marketing, business development, research, communications, writing, production, and digital technology.
The conference is open to those who teach at both the graduate and undergraduate level (i.e. some corporate job openings may call for an MBA vs. undergraduate degree, depending on the nature of the position). We anticipate that this year's diverse group of talented educators will benefit greatly from informal exchanges with each other, in addition to the conference sessions .
IRTS is grateful to be partnering with Disney | ABC Talent Development & Diversity, once again. Because there are always many more qualified applicants than we can accommodate, if you had the opportunity to attend one of our previous conferences with Disney | ABC, we ask that you pass this application on to someone who can benefit from a similar experience.
