Faculty/Industry Seminar
In
an effort to bridge the gap that can sometimes
exist
between
classroom
and
industry,
IRTS provides
an annual opportunity for university educators
who teach communications to meet with senior
media and entertainment executives. It's an
ideal opportunity to discuss the state of business
and the latest decisions being made. The generosity
of companies and individuals has made it possible
for us to underwrite this unique educational
experience for more than three decades.
Educators have labeled the Faculty/Industry
Seminar "the most sought after and visible
activity of the year." Click
Here to learn more about the program's rich
history. In 2005, IRTS began staging smaller multiple faculty conferences in the course of a year, instead of one large conference. This enables professors to spend more time onsite at various companies for an up-close and personal experience. Recent themes have included:
- PROGRAMMED FOR SUCCESS: THE ART OF PRODUCING HIGHLY RATED TELEVISION GRADUATES
- NAVIGATING THE DIGITAL WORLD
- ELECTRONIC JOURNALISM IN CHANGING TIMES
-
